Avermectin
[Features]: This product is a kind of white or pale
yellow crystallized powder. Its melting point is
between 157°C and 162°C. It is soluble in
such solvents as toluene, ethyl acetate acetone,chloroform
and ethanol. slightly soluble in normal ethane and
petroleum ether,and very slightly soluble in water
(lOµg/L).
[Toxicity]: For the acute oralt oxicity in mice the
LD50 is 13.6 to 23.8 mg/kg of bodyweight,for the acute
oral toxicity in rats the LD50 is 19.6 to 11.3 mg/kg
of bodyweight,and it has no activity in carcinogenicity,teratogenicity
or mutagenesis.
[Product Description]: Avermectin is a kind of antibiotic
pesticide and acaricide produced through the liquid
fermentation process with Streptomyces Avermitilis.
Its major active ingredient is Bla,which belongs to
a kind of highly effective novel macrolide pesticide.
Compared with thet raditional pesticides,it has such
advant ages as a high potency,a broad spectrum,a long
lasting effect,a less possibility to develop drug
resist ance,easily degradable,residual free,etc.1t
is one of the best products for the replacement of
highlyt oxic pest icides in China.
[Mechanism of Action]:
Avermectin exerts its activity as a kind of pesticide
by interfering with the normal neurophysiological
activities of arthropods through the stimulation of
the release of the neurotransmitter y-aminobutyric
acid. Because this neurotransmitter is not needed
in the peripheral neurotransmission processes in human
beings and other mammals, this product is very safe
for human beings and mammals. This is the same as
penicillin in that penicillin can effectively kill
bacteria by interfering with the syntheses of one
important component for the synthesis of the cell
walls of bacteria while has no effects on the synthesis
of mammal cells because this componentis not needed
in mammal cells.
[Storage]: This product can be stored for a long
term in a dry,sealed,shady and cool place protected
from lights.
[Production Capacity]: This project
conforms to the notional environmental protection
policies for agriculture and is an environment friendly
bioengineering hightech project which is highly supported
by the nation. It has been listed as a key project
to betackled during the "Seventh Notional Five-Year
Plan",the "Eighth National Five-Year Plan"
and the "Ninth National Five-Year Plan".
It can produce 300 tons of bulk Avermectin each year.
It is liquid fermentation product of Streptomces
avemitilis and is mixture of Avermectin B1a and B1b.
ingredient: The purity of B1 is not less than 95%
in dry product, B1a is at least 93%.
